On this site you will find various things you can use for chatting in #AuStRiA. The content of this page was set up with the help of all chatters in #AuStRiA. You may find useful things such as:
Viruses:The IRC is unfortunately growing as a Virustransmiter. Specially in mIRC, the effort to send files which cause damages on other PC’s, or only paralize the net is very big . In the future we will present actual problems and even solutions to them: ILOVEYOU (Love Letter For You)This is a very topical Virus in the net. It is transmited as Visual Basic Script. It one of the unliked sort, which destroy .JPG-, .MP3- and other files. These are forwarded via DCC and e-mail to all the users on your adressbook. This way, it has ocassioned a great number of damages. Berndat is our scripting-specialist and wrote an antivirus to it. So here it is, free for you to download. #AuStRiA proudly presents: IHATEYOU-ILOVEYOU
Sounds:In #AuStRiA we usually use smaller sound-files to remark our actions. These may only be heard if you have them saved in your own PC, under the corresponding sound-list from the IRC-Client you are using. If not, you will just get a message saying , for example: file does not exist: lol.wav played by Foto50 To avoid this error message, we offer here a few zip-files which contain the most important and used sounds played in #AuStRiA:
Popups und Scripts:Another service I want to offer you here are a few colorful popups and helpful scripts for Pirch and mIRC. Since I use Pirch, I can hardly offer you something for mIRC. Whoever would like to share his/her popups or scripts for mIRC, should please send it to us at webmaster@austriachat.com. The same is valid of course, for any other nice things you can use with Pirch.
I would like to mention that there are various aggressive scripts for mIRC, which we do not appreciate in #AuStRiA. These are distinctly never published here. But we would like to find scripts which are a good or better alternative for the ones mentioned above. These should not content "ONJOIN DCC-send", for example. |
